What F60 Means
F60 on a range means the shared control electronics have reached an excessive internal temperature, usually from restricted airflow around the control housing.
Common Causes of F60
- Blocked ventilation around the control electronics housing
- A failing cooling fan for the electronics bay (on models equipped with one)
- Prolonged high-temperature use of the oven without adequate cooldown
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Check that nothing is blocking any ventilation slots around the range's control panel, and allow the unit to cool for at least 30 minutes before trying again.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- If clearing ventilation doesn't resolve it, confirming a failing internal cooling fan requires opening the shared control housing to inspect.
- On a range, the oven and cooktop coordination often share this electronics housing, so continuing to use either side while it's overheating risks a broader shutdown.
