What F01 Means
F01 on a Miele built-in microwave or speed (combi-steam) oven points to a door sensor or door lock fault — the safety interlock that confirms the door is fully closed before allowing the unit to run.
Common Causes of F01
- Debris or residue preventing the door from closing fully
- Failed door sensor or lock switch
- Door hinge misalignment on a heavily used unit

Check the door seal for anything trapped in the fold preventing full closure, and make sure the door is pushed until it clicks fully shut.
