What F66 Means
F66 applies to models with a steam refresh function, and means the steam generation system isn't working correctly — typically a water supply issue or a failed steam component.
Common Causes of F66
- Steam water supply line blocked or not connected properly
- Failed steam generator component
- Scale/mineral buildup in the steam system from hard water
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
The dryer should still complete regular (non-steam) drying cycles normally while this fault is active — check whether standard cycles are unaffected.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The steam system is plumbed into your water supply, and diagnosing a blockage versus a failed component requires accessing plumbing connections most owners haven't worked with before.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
