What F4 Means
F4 is a maintenance alert — the drip tray has reached its fill sensor threshold and needs to be emptied before the machine will continue.
Common Causes of F4
- Drip tray genuinely full
- Drip tray not seated correctly, so the sensor can't confirm it's empty even after emptying
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
This one is genuinely DIY — remove and empty the drip tray, then reseat it fully.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- None — emptying and reseating the tray is the intended fix; this alert isn't reporting a machine fault.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
