What F02 Means
F02 is the counterpart to F01 — the main NTC temperature sensor circuit is open, meaning the control board is getting no signal at all rather than an implausible one.
Common Causes of F02
- Failed NTC sensor with an open circuit
- A broken wire or failed connector in the sensor harness
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
There's no safe DIY check for this one; a technician needs to test the sensor and its wiring directly.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Diagnosing an open sensor circuit versus a wiring break requires testing continuity along the harness, which isn't a reasonable DIY task.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
