What F06 Means
F06 on a Miele speed oven is the open-circuit version of the same error: the oven Pt1000 temperature sensor, or the wiring to it, is returning nothing at all. Miele’s remedy again begins with the connectors and moves on to a service-mode test of the sensor.
Common Causes of F06
- Oven Pt1000 sensor failed open
- Break in the sensor wiring
- Connector unseated at the power electronics
- Corrosion at a connector in the cooling duct
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Switch the appliance off at the breaker. Note whether the convection function fails to start at all while microwave-only programs still run — that pattern is consistent with the control having lost the reading it needs before it will apply heat.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- An open circuit can be anywhere along the run, so the whole path is metered rather than the sensor simply replaced.
- Built-in speed ovens sit in tall housings alongside other appliances, and drawing one out to work on it is a controlled operation rather than a tug.
- The high-voltage microwave section shares the cabinet with the sensor wiring, which is reason enough not to open it casually.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
