A combination steam oven asks its door seal to cope with both dry heat and saturated steam, and on the DGC5080 that seal ages faster than it would in either a pure steam oven or a conventional one. The sign is steam escaping at the top of the door and eventually marking the cabinetry above. Replacing the seal at the first sign of that is much cheaper than repairing a damaged cabinet front.
