What F04 Means
F04 means the washer can't drain properly, leaving laundry sitting in standing water at the end of a cycle.
Common Causes of F04
- Clogged drain filter or pump
- Kinked or blocked drain hose
- Failed drain pump
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Check the drain filter (usually behind a small door at the front-bottom of the machine) for lint, coins, or debris, which is one of the most common, easily-cleared causes.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Confirming whether the pump itself has failed versus a clog requires testing it directly, and replacing a working pump wastes money without fixing the actual fault.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
