What F110 Means
F110, displayed as F 01 10, is logged when the refrigerator air NTC has failed. That sensor measures the air temperature inside the fridge compartment, which is the value the control uses to decide when to call for cooling — so the compartment ends up being run on a reading the appliance itself no longer trusts.
Common Causes of F110
- Refrigerator air NTC failed or drifted out of tolerance
- Sensor wiring damaged where it runs behind the interior lining
- Plug at the electronics unseated
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Put a fridge thermometer on a middle shelf and read it morning and evening. A compartment that is running noticeably colder or warmer than its setting confirms the appliance is working from a bad number, and the figures give the technician a starting point.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The sensor sits behind the interior lining of a built-in cabinet, and panels prised off without knowing their fixings crack rather than release.
- An NTC has a defined resistance curve, and confirming it has drifted rather than failed outright means measuring against that curve, not guessing from the food.
- A refrigerator run on an incorrect air reading can quietly sit a few degrees warm for weeks, which is a food-safety issue long before it looks like a breakdown.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
