What F01 Means
F01 means the dryer's main NTC temperature sensor is giving an implausible (shorted) reading, which the control board uses to regulate drying temperature.
Common Causes of F01
- Failed or shorted NTC sensor
- Damaged sensor wiring
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
This fault doesn't have a safe DIY check — note whether clothes are coming out over-dried or scorched-feeling, which is useful information for the technician.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Running a dryer with an unreliable temperature sensor risks overheating fabric or, in a worst case, the unit itself, since the board can't regulate heat correctly.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
