What F192 Means
F192 means the heat-flow Pt1000 temperature sensor, or the harness carrying its signal, has gone open-circuit. Miele’s documentation has the technician inspect the harness first and replace the sensor together with its wiring if the harness is sound.
Common Causes of F192
- Heat-flow Pt1000 sensor failed open
- Wiring harness to the sensor broken or chafed through
- Plug at the sensor or the board not making contact
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
No owner-side test exists for a Pt1000 sensor. What helps is noting how the oven behaves — whether it refuses to heat, overshoots, or falls back to a reduced function — because that narrows down which of the oven’s several sensors the control is missing.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Miele supplies this sensor with its harness, and threading the replacement back along its original route matters — a cable run against a hot surface fails again within months.
- The sensor sits in the heated part of the oven, so it can only be reached once the appliance is cool, isolated and partly stripped.
- A break in the harness and a dead sensor read the same at the board, so the harness has to be cleared before the sensor is condemned.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
