What F60 Means
F60 means the oven's control electronics have reached an excessive internal temperature, usually because airflow around the control housing (often above or behind the cavity) is restricted.
Common Causes of F60
- Blocked ventilation around the control electronics housing
- A failing cooling fan for the electronics bay (on models equipped with one)
- Prolonged high-temperature use without adequate cooldown
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Check that nothing is blocking any ventilation slots above or around the oven's control panel, and allow the unit to cool for at least 30 minutes before trying again.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- If clearing the ventilation doesn't resolve it, confirming whether an internal cooling fan has failed requires opening the control housing to inspect.
- Continuing to use the oven at high temperatures while the electronics are already overheating risks further damage to the control board.
