What F94 Means
F94 belongs to plumbed-in DGC models. Miele’s documentation describes it as no water intake being registered by the water-tank reed switch after the intake valves have been opened — the oven asked for mains water and nothing measurable arrived.
Common Causes of F94
- Isolating valve on the plumbed supply closed or only part open
- Intake valves not opening on command
- Water-tank reed switch failing to register the incoming flow
- Supply filter or hose restricted
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Before touching the appliance, check the isolating valve on the supply feeding it and make sure it is fully open, and run a nearby tap to confirm the house has normal pressure. A supply that has been turned off for other work and never turned back on is a common and completely free answer.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The intake valves and the reed switch are inside the appliance on the water side, so a diagnosis involves live plumbing in a built-in cabinet.
- Miele’s procedure runs a valve test to decide whether the valves or the sensing is to blame; without that test the two look identical from the display.
- A supply connection reassembled slightly wrong leaks into the cabinetry under the oven rather than onto a visible floor.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
