Miele CS1221 Tepan Yaki

Model # CS1221

A Tepan Yaki module is a solid stainless griddle you cook directly on, and the CS1221 divides it into two independently heated zones so one end can run hotter than the other. A zone failure therefore shows as a griddle with a cold half rather than as a dead appliance. The other thing worth knowing is that the surface is not indestructible – sustained overheating with nothing on it will discolour and eventually distort it.

FAQ

Miele CS1221 Tepan Yaki FAQ

No - the two zones are independently heated, so a single zone failure leaves the other working and is a contained repair.

Follow the guidance in your manual. Prolonged empty heating at maximum can discolour and distort the surface.
