Miele W3033

Model # W3033

W 3000 machines like the W3033 replaced the Novotronic rotary dial with a capacitive touch panel, and that panel is the model’s distinguishing service issue. Unheated garages and basements are hard on it: condensation on the inside of the fascia makes the touch targets erratic, and owners assume the electronics have failed when the machine simply needs to warm up and dry out. Persistent unresponsiveness after that is a genuine panel problem.

FAQ

Miele W3033 FAQ

Condensation behind the fascia is a common cause of intermittent touch response in unheated spaces. If it persists once the room is warm and dry, the panel itself needs attention.

Do not force it. Cut power at the breaker for a few minutes; if it still will not release, the lock solenoid needs replacing.
