What F68 Means
F68 means the AquaStop safety valve — Miele's built-in leak-protection device on the water supply line — has closed and is blocking all water intake to prevent a leak from reaching your floor.
Common Causes of F68
- A genuine leak detected in the water supply line or tub
- A stuck or failed float switch giving a false trigger
- The AquaStop hose kinked or pinched, mimicking a pressure-drop leak signal
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Check the floor around and underneath the dishwasher for any visible water before doing anything else; if you find standing water, leave the valve closed and don't attempt to override it.
