Miele G5675SCVi

Model # G5675SCVi

Knock2open lets a handleless integrated door be opened with two taps on the cabinet front, which is elegant until the sensor drifts. On the G5675SCVi we see it in both directions: doors that will not open however hard you knock, and doors that spring open when someone closes a nearby drawer. Both are the same sensor assembly, and neither affects the wash – the machine can still be opened conventionally while the repair is scheduled.

FAQ

Miele G5675SCVi FAQ

It is not a safety problem, but it is worth fixing - the sensor has become over-sensitive and the assembly can be recalibrated or replaced.

Yes. The mechanical release remains available, so a failed sensor does not lock you out of the machine.
