What F25 Means
F25 appears in Miele’s G-series summary as a target temperature problem: the program called for a given wash or rinse temperature and the machine could not confirm it got there. It is a result rather than a part — heating, sensing or heat loss can all produce it.
Common Causes of F25
- Heating element no longer delivering full output
- Temperature sensor reading low
- Heating relay on the electronics not closing reliably
- Very cold incoming supply on a long program
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Run a hot program and open the door briefly near the end — with due care for the steam — and see whether the interior is genuinely hot. If it is barely warm, that confirms the machine is not reaching temperature rather than simply mis-reporting it.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Heater, sensor and relay all produce the same code, and telling them apart means measuring current and resistance on a live heating circuit.
- The heating circuit carries full mains current, which is not a place for an exploratory look with the door open.
- Replacing a heater when the relay is to blame is one of the more expensive wrong turns available on a dishwasher.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
