What F06 Means
F06 means the oven's main temperature sensor circuit is open — the control board is getting no signal at all from the sensor, as opposed to F05's implausible-reading short circuit.
Common Causes of F06
- Fully failed temperature sensor
- Disconnected or broken sensor wiring
- Corroded connector pin
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Power-cycle the oven at the breaker for two minutes to rule out a temporary connector glitch before assuming a full sensor failure.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Confirming whether the circuit is open at the sensor, the wiring, or the connector pin requires testing continuity on a de-energized oven.
- With no sensor signal at all, the oven has no way to safely self-regulate temperature, so it shouldn't be used for baking until the open circuit is found and fixed.
