What F68 Means
Both Miele documents describe F68 as the circulation pump operating after switch-off — the control told the pump to stop and it is still running. That points at the switching side rather than at the pump itself. It is not the AquaStop code; leak protection on these machines is reported through the float switch problem, F70.
Common Causes of F68
- Relay or triac driving the pump stuck closed
- Control electronics no longer switching the pump output off
- Wiring problem feeding the pump independently of the control
- Pump electronics holding on after the command is removed
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Listen at the end of a program. If you can hear the pump continuing after the cycle has finished, or after you have selected off, that is the behavior the code describes and it is worth reporting exactly as you observed it.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- A load that cannot be switched off is an electrical problem on a mains-powered board, and the safe response is to isolate the machine rather than investigate it running.
- Telling a stuck relay apart from a control problem means metering the output while the machine is under test.
- A circulation pump left running dry after the tub has drained is being damaged the whole time it continues.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
